SERVICES & COMPANY HISTORY

We’ve grown a lot in the last two plus years. We’ve added new awesome people to the team (it takes a village) and we’ve added new services as well. Jessica Alex Marketing takes pride in giving our clients a customized experience. From booking media interviews, content creation, graphic design, and running social media campaigns, our goal is to help you stand out and make your brand shine in print and online.

SEPT. 2012 – Parent company Upon A Star Books Inc. is created.

 

June 2014 – Upon A Star Books Inc. publishes "Feels Good to Be Kind" with a book launch, book signings and media interviews.

Sept. 2014 – Upon A Star Books Inc. starts to work with other authors looking to receive media coverage.

May 2016 –  Jessica Alex Marketing opens its doors (under Upon A Star Books Inc.) as a PR agency to assist self-published authors with media relations and events such as book signings and book launches.

Jessica Alex Marketing also assists their authors with social media management.

MaY 2016 – The agency assists a small business with their logo design.

Nov. 2017 – Jessica Alex Marketing recognizes entrepreneurs have a similar need for marketing assistance, and starts working towards finding a solution for that gap.

Feb 2018 – The agency assists social media influencers with their logo designs.

Aug. 2018 – In an effort to help entrepreneurs' brand have a consistent feel across all their platforms, Jessica Alex Marketing assists them with their website design.

OCT./Nov. 2018– Jessica Alex is invited by Ryerson University to do two marketing workshops for aspiring entrepreneurs.

JAN. 2019 – The agency evolves into a full-service content marketing agency. Content marketing is a great opportunity to promote your business by offering a variety of content (for instance, blogs, email newsletters, podcasts and social media). The goal is to help tell entrepreneurs' story, through a variety of content, which ultimately will aid in the company's growth and sales, and help to build the company's community.

 

Feb. 2019 – Jessica Alex Marketing remains committed to offering a mix of traditional and modern PR services. For instance, today's PR strategy includes social media and content creation. PR which stands for Public Relations is about connecting with the public. Our agency is committed to helping entrepreneurs have a great public perception, and that can come by way of traditional media coverage, blogs/online articles, and daily social media interactions.

Since 2016, Brooke Dixon has been successfully helping small businesses and entrepreneurs create a visually appealing online presence. Her specialty now includes live-streaming services to help clients build engagement, sales, and brand awareness utilizing the secrets of live-streaming. Brooke is a certified Social Media Manager with a background in business management and marketing which helps to implement strategies specifically related to each brand.

Event Coordinator & Photographer

Anna Jozwiak is an experienced photographer and a certified event coordinator. She loves combining these two passions while working. Anna is open-minded, energetic, and resourceful with a keen eye for detail. With over a decade of experience in photography and few exhibitions in Europe, she has the ability to capture precious moments, as well as seamlessly create a space in time due to her two years of working in the field of event management.

MELODY GOODARZI

Graphic Designer

Melody is a multi-disciplinary designer with a strong background in both print and digital media. She has worked extensively in Graphic Design and Photography over the past 20 years, and holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA), Master of Arts (MA) and Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Graphic Design. She is experienced with art direction, visual design, logo design, brand identity design, brand strategy, UX, UI design, interactive design (mobile and web design) and print design.

Photographer

Haley studied fine arts and photography during her undergraduate studies at York University. She is skilled at various types of photography, but is best known for her portraiture. 

Haley prides herself on being able to allow the client to shine, and she always seems to know the best angles and the best moments to capture every time.
